We all had childhood crushes. Mine was Dawn Wells of Gilligan's Island. Ginger was supposed to be the hot one. Most boys loved Mary Ann. There were books written about why.

In maybe 1980 I was at a party in St Petersburg. Dawn Wells was there. I asked her if I could kiss her and she leaned over and planted a good one right on me.

It was a kiss. But the reality is it was a thrill far beyond. What fun.
