The thing is, I am really old and have a disabled girl living with me: She is a blessing and watches my house when I travel for work almost constantly (it seems). But no romance there. And because I am old, the pressure isn’t on to find “the girl”.

I don’t write this to brag or explain. But rather, there is a real thrill to a relationship that is based on being friends in the here-and-now. I think my current relationships are among the best ever in my life. And I can’t say for sure, but I think the circumstances have a lot to say about that.
