Several years ago, I met a fellow runner in a hotel as he was getting back from his run. It was almost as if he quoted you. He said he does a mile a day to get his heart up to speed. And that his mile is the most benefit for the effort he knows of.

Me, personally, I have different routes depending on where I am. Anywhere from a mile to 3.5 miles. I feel as good after the mile as I do the longer routes.

Thanks for writing.
