Sadly, I wish I could make your argument. But I already knew most of that at 20. My problem was that I just didn't do it. So damn immature, I was.
My early college and life were based in the sciences. Now that I am old, I am far more into symphony, opera, art, literature, FAMILY, concern for others...
Here is my point: The artsy fartsy me is more responsible and productive than the scientific me ever was...right down to accomplishing serious changes that once only existed in my hopes and dreams.
Thanks for writing. Articles like this give people great context for self evaluation. Context BEYOND "I'm depressed and so-and-so doesn't like me". You have a great talent.
