Personally, I believe there is much more to faith than the promise of eternal life. It's existence is pretty much irrelevant, when you think about it. You are right, we will never know. But what IS important about Christianity? Turning the other cheek. Going the extra mile. Doing unto others. Jesus Himself even said to love your neighbor, love God, and their ain't a damn thing more important than that.
