My answer is somewhat ironic since I eat low carb. Mushrooms for me are a staple. I try to eat turmeric-laden curry at least weekly. More Caribbean that Indian since I am a Floridian. And dark chocolate is widely available without sugar. I personally like it with nuts in general.
I have a close friend who is vegan. I am constantly stunned at how many similarities there are in our diets despite our strict vegan v. strict low-carb starting points.
