I've read a lot about the era historically. I'd have to find the book where this was specifically mentioned, but maybe James Romer? Anyway, Greeks used their male baths/clubs/gymnasia, whatever, to find sexual fulfilment. Common was a non-penetrating rubbing strictly for the purpose of fulfilment? The same-sex stigma didn't apply in those days, I assume? Wives were shunned as second class and only for procreation?

I'm sorry, that's as proper as I can say it. There is a point to this, however. The interesting part? Nazareth? A small Hebrew community in Greek Galilee. Capernaum? Greek. On and on. Anything I could say beyond that would be speculation, but...
