I trust you don't mind?

Many years ago, I lost both of my parents to cancer within a few years of each other. My mom got it first but lived through my dad's entire course of cancer. She always said that it was her place to die with dignity, respect, and grace. She fought and lived that through the end of her life. I think in all she had something like 50 procedures, with maybe 20 of those were considered major. She gave it all she had.

I read this today on Medium. About a lady telling her son she was dying. On one hand, it was hard to read. On the other, it gave me even more respect for all my mom endured.

I am posting this because it is like a piece of my family's heart. It was so sweet to read. Sean Kernan is one of my favorite writers, btw.
