I have a handful of fellow friends who have managed to escape their fat. For me, it was 130 pounds. And my whole life is different. It is weird to lose the weight you hated, and then realize that the excess weight was only a small part of your problems. Confidence? Losing the self deprecation and self hatred? THOSE were a bitch. But the weird thing is that those after-the-weight-loss corrections in my life??? They took away my need to eat.

I hate to give you advise, but when I read the comments, there is a guy who also posted, Steven Anthony. I neither know nor follow him (before now). Apparently he wrote a book on insulin resistance and keto. I always say I eat a low-carb Mediterranean. And I EAT GOOD. And I never cheat. I never had the desire to, even on Christmas and holidays...I am there eating my slice of turkey, green beans, and some salad.

Anyway, my handful of friends? ALL keto and low carb. I have been keto for many years. My latest bloodwork? Cholesterol at 140, and not one thing out of place. Maybe you should give Steven Anthony's book a look? I'd bet he'd also be glad to answer a question or two for you along the way. Me too, but I'm not a big author like that.

I hate to say this, but I believe it with all my heart: KETO IS THE ONE WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT THAT YOU CAN ENJOY FOR A LIFETIME. IT IS TRULY NOT A DIET BUT A LIFESTYLE.

All the best. Sorry to go on like this, but you hit a nerve. Good luck!!!
