First, Jesus Himself spoke in parables. Ancient writers used literature: Not to tell a literal story, but to explain life's purpose. No way was Jesus born in Bethlehem. It was a nearly impossible trip with many days of walking and highwaymen at every stage. But what was important? The connection to King David in Bethlehem.

Remember, there were something like 40 gospels, most written in Greek. Jesus was born in Greek Galilee, and preached mostly in Greek Capernaum. Hios #1 disciple was Greek. How were the four gospels determined by a committee of the Roman Government. The Council of Nicea. And translated from Greek years after Jesus.

Love thy neighbor, do unto others, turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, and remember: When the Pharisees asked Jesus what was the most important commandment, He said, "Don't worry about them, love God and love your neighbor. And there isn't a thing more important than that..."
